Situated in the Eastern Himalayas,
this beautiful state of Sikkim is sandwiched between
the kingdom of Nepal in the West and Bhutan in
the East, Tibet in the North and the state of
West Bengal in the South. With an area of 7,300
sq. kms, measuring 115 kms from north to south
and 65 kms. From East to West, the elevation ranging
from 244 mts to over 8550 mts., above sea level,
approximately latitude of 27 degree North and
longitude of 88 degree East. This small state
belies its richness of culture, customs, heritage,
flora and fauna. Sikkim, once a protectorate of
India with a monarchy government but metamorphosed
as the 22nd state of the Indian Union in the year
1975. The population of the state is only 4,20,000
as per the last census. Amidst the grandeur of
the mountain peaks, lush green valleys cascading
waterfalls and fast flowing rivers, beautiful
monasteries and terraced hills, Sikkim offers
her visitor a rare and exotic experience. |

Day 01: Siliguri
Meet on arrival at Bagdogra Airport and transfer
to Hotel in Siliguri. Overnight halt
Day 02: Darjeeling
Transfer to Railway Station to board the Toy Train
for Darjeeling. Reach Darjeeling at about 6 pm-transfer
to Hotel. Overnight Halt in Darjeeling.
Day 03: Darjeeling
Full Day sight seeing of Darjeeling along with a
visit to the Tiger Hill for an early morning to
watch the Sunrise at about 4.30 am along with Ghoom
Monastery on return. Sight seeing continues after
breakfast.
Day 04: Darjeeling - Pemayangtse
Drive to Pemayangtse in the Western part of Sikkim
via the famous Tukvar Tea Gardens along the riverside
of Rangeet. On arrival check into hotel and overnight
halt. (Approx.120 kms -5 hours)
Day 05: Pemayangste - Yuksom
Visit Pemayangtse Monastery after breakfast and
drive to Kheocheplari Lake and drive to Yuksom,
the trekking base of Sikkim and historically very
important-sightseeing. Lunch and return to Pemayangtse
in the evening. (80 kms - 6 hours)
Day 06: Gangtok
Drive to Gangtok the Capital town of Sikkim via
Rabongla and the famous tea gardens of Sikkim,Temi
Tea Estate. Check in and overnight halt. (120 kms-5
hours)
Day 07: Gangtok - Enchey Monastery
Cherry City tour of Gangtok after breakfast: includes
the Enchey Monastery , Cottage Industries along
with visit to Research Institute of Tibetology and
the Do Drul Chorten.(35 kms/4-5 hours) Lunch: Visit
to Rumtek Dharma Chakra Centre, Kaygu Headquarters
and return.
Day 08: Sikkim - Phodong Monastery
Visit Phodong Monastery in the North Sikkim highway
and enroute also visit the Labrang Monastery, return
to Gangtok in the evening. (45 kms x 2 =6 hours)
